Balrampur: Six persons have been booked in the Gora Choraha area of ​​Uttar Pradesh district for allegedly harming Ambedkar statue and committing caste-based abuses against the Dalit community. Police sources said on Monday that in connection with the caste-based abuses of demolishing and forbidding the statue of Baba Sahib Dr Bheem Rao Ambedkar at the place of Buddha Vihar in Ratanpur village, the police had rammed Kashyap, Ram Avtar. A nominated case has been registered against six accused.




He said the incident happened around 10:30 pm last October 25. All the accused entered the Buddha Vihara Puja Center and burst the firecrackers and damaged the statue of Baba Sahib. Allegedly, Vilesh Kumar, Babulal Bharti, Ramkshwar, Mani Ram, Ramakant and Radhey Shyam Bharti were arrested by the accused. Threatened to kill them while abusing them. Deputy SP, Kurram Veer Singh said that the matter was being investigated.
