An American White House official believes in a statement that Turkey's sanctions are serious and full of serious damage to its economy. The steward said that our goal now is to reach Syria's ceasefire. Earlier, the US Treasury Department said Monday that President Donald Trump has imposed economic sanctions on two Turkish ministries and three ministers in response to Turkish military action against Kurdish forces in northeastern Syria.

The sanctions against Turkey include the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Energy and the Interior Ministry, the Finance Ministry said in a statement. Turkish ministers from all three departments have been banned from entering the United States. All of their assets have been frozen in the United States and their dealings with them have been banned. These sanctions were imposed by an executive order signed by President Trump. Turkey recently launched a major military offensive against Kurdish militias in northeast Syria, following which the US reacted strongly to Ankara.
