Hong Kong Chief Kerry Lim has apologized by the protest police over the "disgrace" of the country's largest mosque.

Protests and police clashes are taking place in Hong Kong during the ongoing anti-government protests over the past several months.
Demonstrators were protesting in the streets of Tasam Shah Tsoi in Cologne on Sunday, during which police used water cannons and blue sprays to disperse them.
On one occasion, water cannon cars arrived at the main entrance of Hong Kong's largest colony mosque. During the clashes with the protesters, policemen sprayed blue spray and water at the mosque's door, causing problems for the worshipers.
The Hong Kong chief visited the affected mosque on Monday morning before visiting Japan and apologized for using water cannons at the mosque during a meeting with current religious leaders there.
Imam Mosque Mohammad Irshad accepted Kerry Lam's apology and said that the Islamic community hopes that people will live in Hong Kong peacefully.
On the other hand, the police said in their statement that the mosque was accidentally sprayed, police believe in religious freedom and the protection of holy places.
After a two-week stay, a large number of people gathered on the streets again for the Sunday night demonstrations, with a large number of youths participating.
Despite the police demonstration being illegal, people marched on the streets during which they also had clashes with police.
Protesters targeted banks and other trading centers belonging to China, while protesters broke into shops on Nathan Road and set fire to them.
It is to be remembered that 2600 people have been detained so far in the demonstrations which started in June this year, the majority of whom are under the age of 18. Two people were killed and hundreds were injured in the demonstrations.
Protesters believe that China's actions have stripped them of their right to freedom.
Remember that after independence from Britain in 1997, Hong Kong is under Chinese control and China slogans on one country and two systems on the Hong Kong issue.
