The EPA six-member family came to the scene when one of their children came to a local liquor store and ordered a drink and then asked for help from the people there.
Police have arrested the 67-year-old head of a Dutch-based family who, according to police, spent the last nine years hiding in the basement of a farmhouse with their children, 'waiting for the Hereafter'.

The incident came to light a few days ago after the police took action and recovered the family from the basement.

The arrest of the head of the family came into effect hours after the arrest of the man from Austria who had leased the land to the family.

According to the police report, the two arrested men had kept their sect and the youths were kept in the basement without their consent.

How did this story unfold?

A few days ago, in the Netherlands, the family was informed that her family spent the last nine years hiding in the basement of their farmhouse, 'waiting for the Hereafter'.

The family learned about a 25-year-old man who went to a local brewery to order a drink and then sought help from the people there.

A young man named John told the liquor owner that he never went to school and that he ran to ask for help.

Then, when police raided the farmhouse, they found John's five siblings, his father, and a 58-year-old Austrian man who had been arrested.

The Austrian man faces charges of child custody and money laundering.

Police have confirmed that six youths, aged between 18 and 25, include four women and two men.

According to police, the youths have now identified the 67-year-old detainee as their father, but the local administration has not yet confirmed them. The father's name is named Gert John van de.

It is also reported that a large amount of money has been received from the farm.

The Dutch public broadcaster said the family was separated from the world and was waiting for the next in isolation.

Local liquor owner Chris Westerbeck describes how a person came to his brewery and ordered five beers.

"Then I started talking to him and he told me how he had escaped and he needed help. Then we contacted the police. '

'He had long hair, had a dirty beard, was wearing old clothes and he looked troubled. He said he never went to school and he had not even gone to a barber in nine years. '

He said his siblings live on a farm and he is the eldest of his siblings in his age and he wanted to stop the way he lived.

The nearest village to this farmhouse is named Rheinwold, which has a population of only 3,000. The farmhouse is out of the village and access is via a bridge over a nearby canal.

The farm is hidden behind many trees and has a large vegetable plot and a goat.

One neighbor said that he had seen only one person on the farm to date, and there were other animals such as ducks and a dog.

The local postman says he has not received any mail to the house till date. "If you think about it, it's amazing," he said.

At least one reporter says he was barred by authorities from approaching the farmhouse.

Hier zat klaarblijkelijk een gezin ondergedoken, wachtende op het einde der tijden. Ligt aan een kanal, paar kilometer buiten het dorp. Volop onderzoek. We worden op afstand gehouden. #bizar #Ruinerwold
